Protecting the Environment
Compliance with environmental regulations is an ongoing part of Port operations. Reducing the amount of product fallout during unloading and loading is also an integral part of work procedures at the Port. During loading and unloading, Port personnel spread tarps on the ground under the equipment to collect any fallen goods, and return them to the customer, thus minimizing loss, and enabling savings, while significantly reducing contamination from seawater.
